A few words about who I am

I was born Peter Omar Billings. As life has gotten more complex, my name has gotten simpler. I simply go by “Pete” these days. I’d like to say that photography has always been a part of my life. But it hasn’t. I typically get amped up by seeing the world through various glasses. Seeing as I’ve had a long standing dependency on glasses for a good portion of my life, a camera is merely another extension of how I view the world. I have been extremely fortunate to have a great mentor by the name of Kevin LeBlanc (You know I’m talking about you, Big Kev!) so my transition into photography has been pretty seamless thus far. As for my current state, just making strides to stop time by way of aperture and shutter speed one frame at a time.

“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
